Mohammad Mosaddek Ali was born in a prominent Muslim family in Bangladesh on April 7, 1960. He studied at the University of Dhaka, most prestigious university in the country. In the mid-eighties, he started business by establishing a securities company. After that, he established many more industries and businesses in a series of successes. He also served as the chairman of Dhaka-Shanghai Ceramics, NTV, Roza Properties, Roza Industrial Park, Roza Agro, and The Hotel Cox Today. Later, he was appointed as the chairman of IFIC Bank, one of the largest private bank in the country. He has represented Bangladesh in many countries in the activities of increasing foreign investment. He has a joint venture with China in the ceramics industry.
Mosaddek Ali has always displayed creativity and skill in business and investment. And in this process, he became a director of Union Insurance, Bell Construction, Rakin Development, Star Porcelain Private Limited, SM Housing Limited and Ashalaya Housing Limited. Later, he served as the chairman of Brotherhood Enterprise, Brotherhood Securities, Brilltrade Engineering and Brilltrade Color Coat Limited. In a unique role in social service, he served as the vice chairman of Shahabuddin Medical College and Hospital. The use of the latest technology in the country's broadcasting sector also started with his hands.
Mosaddek Ali is also an important figure and investor in the media of Bangladesh. In addition to International Television Channel Limited or NTV, he founded RTV to provide objective news and entertainment to the people of the country. He was also the founder of one of the country's most popular newspapers, Amar Desh, and the chairman of Amar Desh Publications.
Mosaddek Ali is always striving for the development of sports. He has made a special contribution to the world of sports in creating a world-class environment for the country's young and professional players. He has also served as the president of the oldest and most popular club that is Mohammedan Sporting Club for a long time. He is a permanent member of the National Press Club. He is also a member of Kurmitola Golf Club, Rifles Club, Dhaka Club, Uttara Club, Gulshan Club and All Community Club. In his spare time, Mosaddek Ali reads and writes books. His books include Human Life in the Perspective of the Holy Quran, Bangladesh in Development, Prosperous Bangladesh, etc. Apart from this, he is the publisher of the 30-volume 30-para Quran Sharif with Bengali pronunciation and Bengali and English meanings.
He is a tireless worker for positive politics, economics, social reform and cultural protection. He was an elected member of parliament from Dhaka-10 constituency. He also served as a political advisor to the former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia. He has made important contributions to the development of the capital market of Bangladesh. He has financed some groundbreaking projects in the insurance sector. He has made a huge contribution in building relationships between the public and private sectors in terms of investing in new and promising industries. He has played a leading role in various social activities including the upbringing and development of street children. During his journey, he also established Savar Abdul Mannan Degree College and Khaleda Zia Old Home.
